The Gallery has taken part in an apprenticeship scheme since 2010, and usually has 1-2 Apprentices employed in Business Administration and Cultural Heritage & Operations QCF, level 2 or 3.
These are one or two year placements open only to non-graduates, with a taught element at Kensington and Chelsea College and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Unfortunately the Whitechapel Gallery is not currently resourced to offer work experience placements to under 18’s.
However those wishing to experience a taster of public galleries may be interested in Duchamp & Sons, a youth group run by the Whitechapel Gallery who meet each week to explore issues around the Gallery’s programming.

HALF MOON THEATRE
Half Moon is a local organisation with a national remit, based in Tower Hamlets, East London. The company gives young people from birth to 18 (25 for disabled young people) an opportunity to experience the best in young people’s theatre, both as a participant and as an audience member.

Mudchute offers Work Experience placements for those aged 16 and upwards on the Farm, in the Stables, in the Children's Centre, and on the open space.
Short-term Work Experience placements run from Monday through to Friday for one, or ideally, two weeks.
Long-term Work Experience placements are for one day a week (Monday to Friday) for 3 months and usually coincide with school or college terms.
We host placements throughout the year and prioritise applications from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The summer term can get booked up, so please apply as early as possible.
